JERSEY SHORE HISTORY & FACTS

From the introduction:

The Jersey Shore has long been one of my favorite places to
wander with a camera, photographing lighthouses and landmarks,
and the long, empty beaches of early springs and late summers.
With each visit, I became more interested in the histories of the
places I was photographing, and in how these histories created the
diverse towns of the modern shore. In 2007, I researched these
histories, illustrated them with my original photographs, and
published 'Jersey Shore Facts & Photos.'
This new, revised edition includes even more 'Facts & Photos,'
plus several vintage postcard images of sights that no longer exist. I
hope you will find it both entertaining and informative, the perfect
companion for a sunny morning on your favorite beach... or for a
stormy winter's night when you can't wait for summer to return.

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED...

...why is there an elephant-shaped
building in Margate?

...who built a concrete ship? (And why did
it sink near Cape May?)

...why are there towns on the Jersey
Shore named Loveladies, Ship Bottom,
and Rio Grande?

Inside JERSEY SHORE HISTORY &
FACTS, you will find answers to all of
these questions, and many more. So join
me for a breezy tour of our coastal
history--from pirates, shipwrecks, and
lighthouses to grand hotels, abandoned
forts, and today's most popular
boardwalks.
